Congratulations to Gail McFarland for being selected to exhibit at the Herberger Art Show.

The group exhibit featuring art created by 38 female artists. The exhibit will represent a broad base of local female artists, as we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History
Gail McFarland:
‘My artwork was recently selected for the Herberger Art Show, Heros. I chose Amelia Earhart and Frida Kahio. I admire Earhart for her courage and bravery to be the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. As for Kahio I admire her courage to find the strength and drive to become one of the first feminist artist. She is celebrated in the USA and Mexico for her attention to Mexican and indigenous culture and by feminists for her depiction of the female experience and form. Both are heroes in my mind for being role models and saving the soul of our youth.’
