Publicity:
The chairperson is a board position.
As a volunteer you will participate in one or more of the following activities:
Place web site and/or calendar insertions, write and submit newspaper publicity, design advertising materials.
Archive historical publicity.
Jury Committee:
The chairperson is a board position.
As a volunteer you will be asked to be on the jury committee that will meet once a year in January to evaluate art based on AOTS guidelines and accept/decline applications for membership.
Volunteer Committee:
The chairperson is a board position.
As a volunteer you will assist the chairperson with the coordination of volunteers as needed for projects and events.
Member Shows:
The chairperson is a board position.
If you are participating in the art show you will be required to assist with distribution of advertising materials. You must be on the volunteer list in order to be in a member show. As a volunteer you will assist the chairperson in one or more of the following activities on event day:
Set-up of venue, if not showing your art – assist participating artists in set-up and/or take down, door greeter, assist in putting out road signs, be the “go-to” helper.
Studio Tour:
The AOTS Studio Tour is scheduled annually the first weekend in November.
If you are participating in the studio tour you will be required to assist with distribution of advertising materials and place road signs in front of your studio or more if needed.
As a volunteer you will assist in one or more of the following activities:
Studio Tour Chairperson (as position is needed), assist in the jury committee, placing and take down major road signs on event day
Hospitality:
The Hospitality assists in arrangements for the monthly member meetings and special occasions.
As a volunteer you will assist in one or more of the following activities:
Monthly Meeting Chairperson (as position is needed), provide and set up refreshments (1 month min.), provide chairman with names for possible speakers, assist with set-up and/or take-down of meeting room.
Outreach:
The Community Outreach Committee assists with various charitable events and donations.
As a volunteer you will be asked to assist in one or more of these activities:
Community Outreach Chairperson (as position is needed), Project Help, and Food Drives.
AAA Interface:
Arizona Art Alliance (AAA) is an alliance of Artist Groups from Arizona whose gallery is located in Scottsdale. As a member of this group, we are required to provide a representative to attend their monthly meetings and coordinate our members for their Art Exhibitions in Scottsdale.
As a volunteer you will be asked to assist in one or more of the following activities:
AAA Chairperson (as position is needed), assist as needed in gallery art shows.
